Dr. Horrible
Inspired by Mr. Isaac Brock, the brilliant lyricist that he is. Positive, Negative - Modest Mouse Hey, haven't seen you around in a while I didn't go to work for a month I didn't leave my bed for eight days straight I haven't hung out with anyone 'Cause if I did, I'd have nothing to say I didn't feel angry or depressed I didn't feel anything at all I didn't want to go to bed And I didn't want to stay up late When youre living your life, well, that's the price you pay Whenever I breath out, you're breathing it in Whenever I speak out, you're speaking out I didn't go to work for a month I didn't leave my bed for eight days straight I haven't hung out with anyone 'Cause if I did, I'd have nothing to say

I've been reading World War Z. It's a lot of fun - creepy - but fun! There was an excerpt on page 92, about the battle in Yonkers, that inspired another propaganda poster: We shake hands under the station's mural of VICTORY, easily the most recognizable image of the American experience in World War Z. Originally taken from a photograph, it depicts a squad of soldiers standing on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River, their backs turned to us as they watch dawn break over Manhattan. The quote struck an image, and an idea. In a war, is victory worth the cost? Is there ever truly a victor when everything loved and fought for is destroyed? Drawn in Corel Draw and manipulated in Photoshop.

Dying Slowly
“Why is a raven like a writing desk? I’ve asked myself this question since I knew what a question was to ask. Possibly since before that, since one needn’t know what a question is in order to ask. Quite the opposite. But I’m getting ahead of myself, or behind myself. Both of which I prefer to being beside myself. Beside is so… nonprogressive.” The Hatter paused, the scarf around his eyes twitched, and – if his eyebrows were visible – Alice thought they would be high on the forehead beneath his hat. “Is nonprogressive even a word?” she asked. The jumble of letters told her tongue ‘no’, but she asked all the same. “Of course it’s a word,” said the Hatter. “I’ve uttered it, you’ve heard it… AND you’ve repeated it back to me. What i...

Mad Hatter
Inspired by Heart Cooks Brain by Modest Mouse. Slow walk It's land mine It's coal mine It's a bad thought On the way to god don't know My brain's the burger and my heart's the coal I'm trying to get my head clear I push things out through my mouth I get refilled through my ears I'm on my way to god don't know or even care My brain's the weak heart, and my heart's the long stairs Inland from Vancouver shore The ravens and the seagulls push each other inward and outward Inward and outward In this place that I call home My brain's the cliff, and my heart's the bitter buffalo My heart's the bitter buffalo We tore one down, and erected another there The match of the century: absence versus thin air On the way to god don't know My brain's the...

I wish I had an evil twin running ’round doing people in I wish I had a very bad and evil twin to do my will to cull and conquer, cut and kill just like I would if I weren’t good and if I knew where to begin down and down we go how low no one would know sometimes the good life wears thin I wish I had an evil twin my evil twin would lie and steal and he would stink of sex appeal all men would writhe beneath his scythe he’d send the pretty ones to me and they would think that I was he I’d hurt them and I’d go scot free I’d get no blame and feel no shame ’cause evil’s not my cup of tea down and down we go how low one would not need to know all my life there should have been an evil twin The Magnetic Fields

Don't you wonder sometimes 'Bout sound and vision Blue, blue, electric blue That's the colour of my room Where I will live Blue, blue Pale blinds drawn all day Nothing to do, nothing to say Blue, blue I will sit right down, waiting for the gift of sound and vision And I will sing, waiting for the gift of sound and vision Drifting into my solitude, over my head Don't you wonder sometimes 'Bout sound and vision

For legal reasons, I should explain that this is nothing more than a Rorschach-esque inkblot. The george mentioned is simply my childhood friend who sold his soul for riches and a farm. Hopefully that'll satisfy any stratosphere striders looking to write cease and desist letters.

I had this idea 3 years ago, and have been tinkering with it on and off since then. It's based upon this poster . Just a poke at religion and the unnecessary conflict it creates.

"Sometimes my thoughts get stuck. I can feel them, pressed against some dark corner of my skull, but I can't shake them loose. Eventually, something roils in my mind and I lose my way entirely; the thoughts forgotten or swallowed, I know not, nor do I care." - Anonymous patient, The Principles of Psychology, 1887-

This design was inspired by this song "Out on the blue sea I sailed a blue ship. I had a first mate, always had blue lips. His name was Bluebeard. He had a weird twitch. We flew a blue flag on a big stick. And we ate bluegill and we ate blue chips. Oh, I felt real blue eating that blue fish. Because there ain't much that I won't do, unless it keeps me from being true blue." I listened to the song, then just started scribbling this goofy little guy. I wrote a story to go with it. Sold a dozen to date.
