This artwork represent my view on religion. The center seems to be a perfect cross and its body seemingly white (pure & innocent). But despite the center cross is perfect, it is hollow meaning that it is just a concept which is based on nothing and emptiness. The white body is illogical and its solidness is based on perception and the red lines represent the history of religion lined with blood and fire.

By the Holy Spirit Christians are united [1 Corinthians 12:12-13]. This Holy Spirit lives on the inside of us [1 Corinthians 3:16], growing in magnitude as our virtues of consciousness strengthen [Philippians 4:8; Psalms 21:3], such as Unconditional Love [John 4:16]. This light [John 1:5] becomes the Light of the World [Matthew 5:14-16]: the Holy Spirit of Christ [John 8:12]. The Body of Christ is the Church [Romans 12:4-5], the Cross our symbol, and its light the power of our maturity [Ephesians 2:19-22]. As a vessel for this light, live, move and have your being with God [Acts 17:28; John 13-17].

On the arms of the cross are the initial letters of the rhythmic Latin prayer: The Holy Cross My Light, Sin Never my Guide. (Crux sacra sit mihi lux! Nunquam draco sit mihi dux!) In the angles of the cross, the letters C S P B stand for Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti (The cross of our holy father Benedict). Above the cross is the word pax (peace), the Benedictine motto. Around the margin of the back of the medal, the letters V R S N S M V - S M Q L I V B are the initial letters, of a Latin prayer: Vade retro Satana! Nunquam suade mihi vana! Sunt mala quae libas. Ipse venena bibas! (Begone Satan! Never tempt me with your vanities! What you offer me is evil. Drink the poison yourself!)
